A Manassas Resident Since 1976
Right after Manassas officially became a city, Tim moved in. He was born in Minnesota and his family moved to the Washington, D.C., area when he was seven. In 1976, he moved to Manassas and began attending Osbourn Park High School until his junior year, when Osbourn High School officially opened. He was a member of the OHS class of 1979 and continues to support the MCPS schools today.

Tim’s wife, Susan, was a dedicated public school teacher for 37 years, including working in Manassas City Public Schools for the last 19 years of her distinguished career. They raised their two daughters, Anna and Katie, in the city, and both

graduated from Osbourn High School. Anna is currently a fourth-grade teacher at Baldwin Elementary School and still resides in the city. Katie is a journalist living in Alexandria with her husband, Michael, and two children.

Tim’s service to his community has ranged over the years, from working as PTO President, to sitting on the solid waste committee for the city, to serving as his local Homeowners Association President. His neighbors know him as an avid supporter of everything related to Manassas and Manassas City Public Schools, from the sports teams to the Alumni Association--where he is currently Vice President and Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee.. He’s also known for his red truck, which is frequently spotted in Old Town, and occasionally transforming into Santa Claus.
